Introduction

EEMUA's Asset Integrity Leadership Certificate (AILC(R)) training course is based on EEMUA's AILC Competency Framework. Please note: if you have a Pass Certfiicate from the EEMUA AILC Pilot course in 2024, you are entitled to the reduced Members rate and to carry over that mark to the Portfolio of Work component of this full AILC course. 

Induction for this blended learning course takes approximately two hours and is available from 20 January 2025, after registration. Four Learning Cycles run consecutively commencing in February 2025, requiring approximately three hours of time each Learning Week until the Portfolio of Work is submitted in June 2025. Completing this training course is equivalent to 55 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Download the AILC flyer here.

Expectations of Learners

  • The course will be held solely online. For the best user experience, Learners will need access to a computer with a large screen and a broadband internet connection.

  • The Learner will be expected to meet the course's entry requirements to participate in the course.

  • The Learner must abide by the Code of Conduct for the course, including relevant non-disclosure and non-compete commitments.  

  • The Learner will need to be proficient in English both written and spoken. For students whose first language is not English, a minimum score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test is recommended.

  • A basic mathematical ability is assumed.

  • Assessment is by a Portfolio of Work (submitted online) and taking a two-part online Final Examination.

Learners' time commitment
 
A Learner’s approximate time commitment for the course is estimated to be:

  • Induction: 2 hours to suit working schedules from January 2025.

  • Learning: 3 hours per week for 16 weeks as below:

  • Four Learning Cycles, each taking four weeks and including one hour live online class per week: 48 hours.

  • Portfolio of Work submission online: 2.5 hours.

  • Final Examination (online)2.5 hours.

Approximate Total: 55 hours over 23 weeks 


Re-certification
 

EEMUA will provide a pathway for recertification at five year periods after passing the initial full AILC course.
