To enable participants to:

Gain an understanding of the design, material and fabrication aspects of tank construction with respect to repair or restrictions of use after degradation in service.

Understand the principles, output and limitations of inspection methods and techniques.

Be able to make a sound assessment of the integrity of a storage tank and foundation, and offer guidance on the need for repair, its urgency and methods of effecting such repair.

Before registering
Click here to see an example sheet of mathematical formulae that are used extensively throughout the course. Please also take note of the entry criteria. It is vital that you understand these types of calculations and formulae as the course is very fast paced and it will be assumed that you are adept in putting these formula into practice.

Please be advised that prior consent from EEMUA must be obtained before you can register for the TankAssessor Repeat and Exam Only module. Any registrants for this module who are not eligible to attend will be de-registered immediately.
How to register
Click the Register button at the top of this page, enter your details and choose the module you wish to attend. You will need to have all delegate and purchase order details with you as the system cannot save your entries if you exit or navigate away from the page. You must have a My EEMUA account to register online and you can register for one if you haven’t already done so, by following the same link. It is possible for you to register as many colleagues as you like at the same time, as long as they too have a My EEMUA account. Once the process is completed, you can manage your booking online via the My Events and Training section of My EEMUA.
After registration, you will be invited to choose which date you would like to sit the exam on. This will be sent to you in an email, and more information will follow specifically on the exam.
Permanent employees from EEMUA member companies are entitled to a discount off the standard course fee. Permanent employees from recognised national regulators may also be entitled to a discount off the standard course fee. Please contact the EEMUA office for further details.
Training documentation, a complimentary copy of the current (5th) edition of EEMUA Publication 159* and accommodation with full board for the duration of the course is included in price. VAT is also included. On passing the end of course exam, you will achieve a Certificate of Competence in the assessment of storage tank integrity according to the EEMUA 159 User Guide.
*please note repeat participants will be expected to bring their EEMUA 159 Publication received at a previous course.

Who should attend
Engineers, operational supervisors and inspectors qualified to HNC level or above and with a minimum of five years experience with storage tanks who require to improve their understanding of and/or become qualified in assessing the integrity of tanks and foundations.
